Indonesia Tawarkan Kerja Sama Infrastruktur dengan Ethiopia
Indonesia menawarkan kerjasama dengan Ethiopia untuk membangun infrastruktur di negara tersebut. Tawaran ini, disampaikan langsung Wakil Menteri Luar Negeri RI, A.M. Fachir saat ilateral dengan Menteri Public Enterprises Ethiopia, Y.M. Teshome Toga, di Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Rabu, 8 Agustus 2018.
“Indonesia siap bekerja sama membangun infrastruktur di Ethiopia. Oleh sebab itu, kami berharap dapat segera diidentifikasi proyek pengembangan infrastruktur antara Indonesia dengan Ethiopia yang dapat diwujudkan dalam waktu dekat.” kata Fachir.
Wamenlu RI berharap bahwa proyek yang sedang diidentifikasi tersebut dapat menjadi salah satu business deals konkret Indonesia dengan Ethiopia untuk diumumkan pada Indonesia-Africa Infrastructure Dialogue (IAID) mendatang. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Wamenlu RI turut mengundang pemerintah dan pebisnis Ethiopia berpartisipasi aktif pada forum yang akan diselenggarakan pada 20-21 Agustus 2019 di Indonesia tersebut.
Tawaran tersebut mendapat tanggapan positif dari Menteri Toga mengingat Indonesia memang merupakan mitra ekonomi potensial Afrika, termasuk Ethiopia, serta terlihat dari komitmen Indonesia yang datang dengan delegasi yang cukup besar. Dalam kunjungan ini, Wamenlu RI didampingi oleh Dubes RI Addis Ababa, Direktur Afrika Kemenlu, PT. Wijaya Karya (WIKA) dan Indonesia Eximbank atau Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI).
PT. WIKA telah menyatakan kesiapan untuk dapat berkontribusi dalam proyek-proyek infrastruktur yang sedang direncanakan Ethiopia. Adapun nilai proyek infrastruktur yang diidentifikasi sebesar USD 30-50 juta. Salah satu proyek yang potensial adalah pembangunan jalur kereta api di Ethiopia. Selain itu, juga terdapat potensi kerja sama dalam hal pembangunan infrastruktur energi, perumahan dan prasarana jalan raya.
Ethiopia merupakan negara di kawasan Afrika Timur yang memiliki jumlah penduduk kedua terbesar di Afrika Sub-Sahara. Saat ini Ethiopia telah berkembang cukup pesat dan berhasil menjadi hub penerbangan di benua Afrika melalui maskapai nasionalnya, yaitu Ethiopian Airlines. (sumber: Dit. Afrika)
